Stand Up to racism and others gathered outside Hyde Park to oppose a planned “No Sharia Law’ march by UKIP and their leader Nick Tenconi.  Originally gathering by the Wellington Arch the counter protesters were moved across the road to Hyde Park and ordered to disperse, however they stood their ground refusing to be intimidated.  Nick Tenconi and his ragtag mob had gathered in the park behind the counter and attempted to force their way through to Wellington Arch in a clearly orchestrated move to create a clash between the groups.  The numbers attending the UKIP march were pitiful, no more than 15 to 20 turned up with the usual crew of live streamers and auditors, and were greatly outnumbered by the counter demo.
