Palestinian prisoners Day, Whitehall, London, 17/04/26

Hundreds gathered outside Downing Street to mark Palestinian Prisoners Day.  Thousands of Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons and detention centre, many of them women and children.  Many are being held in administrative detention with no access to a lawyer, no trial and no indication of the charges against them.  Last week the Knesset passed a law legalising the death penalty for Palestinians convicted of killing Israeli soldiers or settlers.  The protesters demand the immediate release of all Palestinian prisoners being held hostage in Israeli gaols.
